Our Discovery Fund keeps Montessori education more affordable to a wider range of students
Madison Community Montessori School is made up of a community of individuals who support the school in many ways. This commitment is a tradition at MCMS that enables the school to enhance existing programs and realize its mission today and for future generations.
MCMS Discovery Fund
The Madison Community Montessori Discovery Fund helps keep tuition more affordable by directly funding current year initiatives to elevate our programs and enhance the student experience. Contributions to the Discovery Fund are unrestricted and touch every part of the school – from playground balls to new computers, from books to authentic Montessori materials for the classrooms, from Parent Information & Engagement events to professional development opportunities for our faculty and staff, from field trips to props for classroom performances.
Tax-deductible gifts to the Discovery Fund are a way for all of those who have experienced the benefits of an authentic Montessori education – parents, staff, grandparents, alumni, and others – to support every MCMS student everyday.

The Dorothy Zografi Scholarship Fund - in recognition of Dorothy Zografi’s invaluable contributions to the growth and character of MCMS during her 22 years as head of school, the board established this endowment in honor of Head of School Emeritus, Dorothy Zografi. Dorothy strongly believed in making an authentic Montessori education accessible to families who demonstrated dedication and commitment to the Montessori Method, regardless of economic situation.

Legacy
While most support comes in the form of check or in-kind gifts, many have become creative in their giving by using stocks and bonds. Making a planned gift may be as simple as remembering MCMS in your will or naming the school as a beneficiary of an insurance policy.

MCMS friends and families support the school by volunteering in the classroom, with maintenance on the school grounds and donating supplies
