•  5K Run/Walk - awards for top three finishers (Male and Female)
•  1 mile Run/Walk for walkers, children and families with strollers
• 40-yard Kiddie dash for pre-schoolers, age 4 and under

Presentation by Carol Alver: "Making a Life vs. Making a Living"

April 18th at 6:30 PM

Enabling the child to develop the characteristics needed for adulthood is the goal of every parent. Many schools emphasize only the academic part of that development. Dr. Montessori recognized that development of the whole person should be the outcome.

This presentation will focus on the parent's role in developing the characteristics necessary to take one's place in society.

Carol Alver founded Madison Community Montessori School (previously known as Madison Central Montessori School) in 1972. Carol has worked in Montessori for over 40 years as a teacher and consultant, with a focus on integrating children with special needs into the Montessori classroom. In addition, Carol worked as a Guardian Ad Litem for many years and has served as a volunteer with Hospice.
